Scope
These terms govern your use of this website. They do not govern use of the Box platform itself: a deployment is licensed under a separate written agreement between Potter and the institution that runs it, and nothing on this site varies that agreement.
If you do not accept these terms, please do not use the site.
What this site is
This site is marketing and reference material. It describes what Box is, who it is for, and how it is architected. It is published so that an institution evaluating Box can understand the product before speaking to us.
There is no account to create here, nothing to purchase, and no service delivered through this site.
Accuracy, and its limits
We aim to keep this site accurate and to correct it when it is not. Product detail on the site is a summary of the technical documentation, which is the more precise source and may be updated more often.
Nothing here is a warranty, a commitment to deliver a particular capability, or a representation that a described capability is included in any given licence. What a specific deployment is entitled to is determined by its licence tier and its written agreement.
Forward-looking statements about where we think commerce infrastructure is going, including anything published in the Journal or the guides, are opinion rather than commitment.
Intellectual property
The content of this site, including its text, diagrams, layout and code, belongs to Potter unless stated otherwise.
You may read it, link to it, and quote from it with attribution. You may not reproduce it wholesale, present it as your own, or use our name or marks in a way that suggests endorsement or affiliation that does not exist.
Acceptable use
Please do not attempt to disrupt the site, gain unauthorised access to any system behind it, scrape it in a way that degrades it for others, or use the contact form to send unsolicited commercial messages.
Links to other sites
This site links to the Box technical documentation and, occasionally, to third-party material. We do not control third-party sites and are not responsible for their content or their handling of your data.
Liability
This site is provided as it is. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for loss arising from reliance on information published here. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by negligence.
Changes
We may update these terms. The date at the top of this page changes when we do. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.
Governing law
To be confirmed. The governing law and the venue for any dispute will be stated here once the registered entity and jurisdiction are settled. Until then, no choice of law is asserted.
